India Launches Youth Innovation Challenge

India’s 2026 Youth Co:Lab challenge is empowering young innovators developing sustainability and social impact solutions through entrepreneurship, technology and community-driven development initiatives.

India has launched the 2026 Youth Co:Lab National Innovation Challenge, aimed at supporting young entrepreneurs developing solutions linked to sustainability, social innovation and the Sustainable Development Goals.

The initiative, supported by partners including UNDP and the Citi Foundation, focuses on helping young innovators create scalable solutions addressing environmental, economic and community challenges.

Organisers say the programme seeks to empower youth-led entrepreneurship while strengthening innovation ecosystems capable of delivering measurable social impact across India.

The challenge encourages participants to develop ideas linked to sustainability, digital inclusion, climate resilience, education and economic opportunity.

Officials believe youth-driven innovation will play a critical role in shaping more inclusive and resilient economies across emerging markets.

The initiative also reflects growing investment in entrepreneurship as a driver of long-term social development and economic transformation.
