Joint Prosperity Supports Amy Foundation

Joint Prosperity is transforming every kilometre walked into youth employment opportunities, supporting Amy Foundation programmes that equip young South Africans with skills, confidence and brighter futures.

Joint Prosperity will join 702’s Jozi My Jozi Walk the Talk 2026 on 26 July, using the event to raise funds for the Amy Foundation’s Youth Skills Development and Entrepreneurship Programme.

Participants can choose to complete a 5km, 8km or 15km route, with every kilometre helping to create opportunities for young South Africans facing unemployment, inequality and limited access to education and training.

The Amy Foundation delivers a holistic development programme that combines vocational training, entrepreneurship, academic support, arts and culture, sport, psychosocial support and workplace readiness, preparing young people for meaningful employment or self-employment.

The programme has already delivered measurable impact, with 2,550 young people placed into employment and more than 300 businesses launched by Amy Foundation graduates.

Each participant requires approximately R12 000 in donor funding to receive comprehensive training, mentorship and placement support, helping break the cycle of poverty while building stronger communities.

Hilary George, Youth Skills Development Programme Manager, said structured skills development and mentorship continue to transform lives.

“When young people are given structured skills, mentorship and belief in their own potential, we see extraordinary transformation. What starts as uncertainty becomes confidence, and what feels like limitation becomes leadership.”

Joint Prosperity Managing Director Kevin Chaplin said the partnership focuses on creating practical opportunities.

“Every kilometre walked translates into real training, real opportunity and real employment. We are not just developing skills, we are changing life trajectories.”

Joint Prosperity says the partnership reflects its belief that sustainable prosperity begins by investing in people and helping young South Africans realise their full potential.

The campaign aims to raise R60 000 through BackaBuddy, enough to fully fund at least five young people through training, mentorship and placement into employment or entrepreneurship.

Supporters can contribute by donating to the campaign or joining the movement during the 702 Jozi My Jozi Walk the Talk 2026, helping ensure every step creates opportunity for South Africa’s next generation.
