The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) will host its annual SAICA In-FOR-sight Summit 2025 from 14–16 October 2025 at the Gallagher Convention Centre. In a powerful statement, SAICA CEO Patricia Stock positioned the event as a critical response to one of the profession’s most pressing challenges: the urgent need for transformative solutions in a sector where only around 20% of Chartered Accountants are black.
Speaking ahead of the summit, Stock emphasized the event’s role as a catalyst for change. “The statistics speak plainly to a profession at a crossroads. The SAICA In-FOR-sight Summit 2025 is our commitment to confronting this challenge directly,” she said. “We are creating the essential platform where professionals, business leaders, and policymakers will collaborate to build a more representative and robust financial ecosystem for South Africa.”
Under the theme “Lead Boldly. Influence Intentionally. Impact Purposefully,” the summit will serve as a vital incubator for developing actionable strategies to accelerate diversity and foster inclusive growth. The programme will explore critical topics shaping the future, including public sector challenges, the future of leadership, innovation, AI, FinTech, and the evolving accounting profession.
At the heart of this transformative agenda are the prestigious SAICA Awards, which celebrate the exceptional individuals already driving progress. The awards ceremony will form the grand finale of the summit, highlighting achievers at every career stage.
Reflecting on the Top-35-Under-35 Awards, Stock highlighted their significance: “The Top-35-Under-35 winners and all our award nominees represent the vanguard of our profession’s evolution. They are living proof that excellence and transformation are not mutually exclusive but are, in fact, the very ingredients for sustainable success. The SAICA Summit is where the corporate world can meet these change-makers, learn from their insights, and partner in building a more inclusive economy.”
The summit will also showcase the Trainee Trailblazer Awards, recognising outstanding trainee achievements and fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and professional development among aspiring Chartered Accountants (CA(SA)). These emerging professionals represent the promising future of the profession, offering attendees and the sector an early glimpse into the next generation of financial leaders.
Stock framed attendance as a strategic necessity for the broader business community. “This is more than a conference; it is a pivotal gathering for those committed to building a more inclusive and prosperous business future for South Africa,” she said.
The SAICA In-FOR-sight Summit 2025 promises to be a defining moment for the accounting profession and the South African business landscape, championing a future where innovation and inclusivity are inextricably linked.
