Amy Foundation Gala 2025: Rainbow Radiance

In a powerful display of community spirit and commitment to social impact, the Amy Foundation’s Annual Gala Dinner 2025 has officially sold out, drawing 380 guests to the Century City Conference Centre this Saturday, 8 November.

With its theme of “Rainbow Radiance”, the gala is more than just a night of glamour—it’s a celebration of inclusion, resilience, and hope. The Foundation aims to raise R1 million to fund its After School and Youth Skills Development Programmes, which provide young people from under-resourced communities with education, mentorship, and practical training to thrive in life and work.

A Night Where Entertainment Meets Purpose

Hosted by comedian Alan Committie, with Nik Rabinowitz as auctioneer, the evening promises laughter and generosity in equal measure. Music legend and Amy Foundation ambassador Yvonne Chaka Chaka will take the stage alongside the vibrant Manila von Teez, adding star power to an already glittering night.

But the emotional heartbeat of the event will come from the Foundation’s own Performing Arts learners, whose showcase—mentored by Aviva Pelham and Paul Johnson, with support from WTS and UCT—embodies the Foundation’s mission: to turn potential into purpose.

Investing in South Africa’s Future

“The fact that this year’s Gala has sold out is not just a fundraising success; it’s a statement of belief in the power of education and opportunity,” said Kevin Chaplin, Managing Director of the Amy Foundation. “Every rand raised is an investment in our young people—and in the future of this country.”

Guests will contribute through live and silent auctions, raffles, and the ‘Sponsor a Youth’ initiative, ensuring that even one night of generosity creates ripple effects across communities.

Partners Making Impact Possible

The event’s success is made possible through collaboration with key partners, including:
Century City Conference Centre and Hotel (CCCC) – Venue Sponsor
Multi-Media – Audio-Visual Sponsor
Coca-Cola Peninsula Beverages (CCPB) – Drinks Sponsor
Druk My Niet – Wine Sponsor
Rosy’s and 4 Every Event – Décor Sponsors

Together, these organisations are helping amplify a message that echoes far beyond the ballroom: that collaboration and compassion can transform lives.

A Call to Those Who Couldn’t Attend

While the event is sold out, supporters can still get involved. Donations and sponsorships can be made via www.amyfoundation.co.za, ensuring that every South African who believes in youth empowerment has a way to contribute.

As Nelson Mandela once said: “What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead.”

Together, we can keep changing lives—one young person at a time.
