Standard Bank Honours ESD Winners Driving Inclusive Growth

Standard Bank has announced the winners of its 2025 Enterprise & Supplier Development (ESD) Awards, recognising outstanding businesses that are driving inclusive growth, innovation and meaningful social impact across South Africa.

The awards celebrate entrepreneurs and suppliers who are not only building sustainable businesses, but also strengthening communities and contributing to a more inclusive economy. Through its ESD programme, Standard Bank continues to play a pivotal role in empowering SMEs and fostering long-term partnerships between corporates and emerging enterprises.

Speaking at the awards, Naledzani Mosomane, Head of Enterprise and Supplier Development for Business and Commercial Banking at Standard Bank South Africa, highlighted the importance of supporting businesses that demonstrate resilience, innovation and purpose.

The 2025 winners showcased excellence across key development categories. Buttercup Farmhouse was named the Enterprise Development Agric Growth 1st Place Winner, reflecting the growing impact of small-scale agriculture in driving food security and rural development. Matte BLK took top honours as the Supplier Development Growth 1st Place Winner, while Adnotes was awarded 1st Place in the Enterprise Development Tech Innovation category, underscoring the role of technology-led solutions in shaping South Africa’s future economy.

Senior Manager for Enterprise and Supplier Development at Business and Commercial Banking, Lesiba Matladi, joined the category winners in celebrating their achievements, reinforcing Standard Bank’s commitment to walking alongside entrepreneurs as they scale and succeed.

The event was hosted by award-winning sports broadcaster Carol Tshabalala, who served as master of ceremonies, bringing energy and inspiration to an evening focused on progress, partnership and possibility.

The 2025 ESD Awards reaffirm Standard Bank’s belief that enterprise and supplier development is a powerful catalyst for inclusive growth, job creation and lasting social impact across South Africa.
