First edition of We Are Football festival to kick off at Moses Mabhida stadium

Pitch Sports Entertainment and Media (PTY) Ltd & Newton Sports Agency  have announced the launch of the first edition of “We Are Football, the 1st of its kind football festival to be held on the 11th of November 2017 at the People Park, Moses Mabhida, Durban.

The “We Are Football” festival is aimed celebrating and giving football fans a chance to immerse in football activities in a social setting like a SIX-A-SIDE games, eFootball, Freestyle Football and it also includes food stalls, DJs and live music performances. The festival is looking to attract football fans to meet their heroes and heroines, talk and live football with great prizes to be won from different competitions.

“Football is a beautiful game enjoyed by many in our country and we are excited to create “We Are Football” festival in South Africa. For us, it’s all about to creating a world where former and current football players, fans and those passionate about the game of millions can get together in a central venue to celebrate the game of football,” says Errol Madlala, Director of Pitch Sports Entertainment and Media (PTY) Ltd.

To re-ignite the love and support for Bafana Bafana, Pitch Sports Entertainment and Media (PTY) Ltd have roped in football legends Lucas Radebe, Doctor Khumalo and Mark Williams and other current and former players on a call for South Africans to “COME SHOW YOUR LOVE” during the festival.  The legends are part of the 25 years celebration since the first game for Bafana Bafana which was held in Durban on 7th July 1992.

The legends will share their expert advice to participating teams and will also be judges for the different activations involving football.

DJ Tira of Afrotainment and T-Bo Touch are amongst entertainers who not only be the DJs but is also bringing teams to compete in the 6-a-side tournament and encouraging other entertainers, social teams, corporate teams and stockvels to do the same.
