Mall of the South Partners with SOJO Business and Tourism Helping Hands Foundation, for Mandela Day community initiative

In a heartfelt effort to make a difference to the underserved community in the south of Johannesburg, Mall of the South is proud to announce its continued partnership with the SOJO Business and Tourism Helping Hands Foundation on the 18th of July at the MOMO’s upliftment centre. Together with the help of local organisations and businesses, we plan to directly impact 1,000 individuals this Mandela Day by providing them with essential services and support.

Continuing with the success of the 2022 campaign and the aim to create a dignified day for our underserved community, providing them with a hot meal, basic clinic services, a warm shower and personal grooming. The day will also include counselling services and words of encouragement from our motivators.

On departure, we plan to provide them with food parcels, dignity packs, as well as clothing and shoes. This will ensure ongoing impact past the days event.

Thank you to the generous sponsors who have already pledged their support: Meals on Wheels Caregivers Society, Keready Mobile Medical Clinic, MOMO’s Upliftment Centre, Thaba Eco Hotel, Mall of the South, Gold Reef City, Mount Like Eagles Mission, Addicts Voice, Just Darling, Rotary Club, Resthaven Ministries, Legends Barber Shop Mall of the South, Epiroc New Concept Mining, Visions of Joy, SEEFF Properties Alberton and Kibler Park, Unrestricted Favor Quincy Jacobs Foundation, and Zee Flavor Fusion.

We also extend our gratitude to the community of Mall of the South who have donated substantial donations to date.
