Lewis Capaldi and BetterHelp offer 734,000 hours of free therapy

Global music sensation Lewis Capaldi is using his voice for more than chart-topping hits — this time, to advocate for mental health. The two-time GRAMMY nominee and BRIT Award-winning artist has partnered with BetterHelp, the world’s largest online therapy platform, to give away 734,000 hours of free therapy — a nod to the 734 days Capaldi took away from the spotlight to focus on his mental health.

Capaldi, who recently made a powerful return to music with his new single “Survive,” credits therapy for helping him find his way back to the stage after a difficult period that culminated during his 2023 Glastonbury performance.

“Therapy is the reason why I am able to be a musician again,” Capaldi shared. “I don’t think I’ll ever stop going after the impact it’s had on my life. I want to support my fans as they’ve supported me.”

As part of the partnership, Capaldi has released a candid video through BetterHelp detailing his mental health journey — from being overwhelmed by anxiety to the process of finding the right therapist and healing. Fans can watch the video and access a free month of online therapy via www.betterhelp.com/lewiscapaldi.

Sara Brooks, Chief Growth Officer at BetterHelp, praised the partnership:
“To have someone as globally recognized as Lewis Capaldi speak so openly about therapy is incredibly powerful. His story will help break down the stigma and encourage more people to seek support.”

Capaldi’s comeback, marked by a surprise Glastonbury performance and the release of “Survive,” has resonated deeply with fans — not just as a musical return, but as a personal triumph.

About Lewis Capaldi:
Capaldi’s debut album, Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, was the UK’s best-selling album of 2019 and 2020, featuring global hit “Someone You Loved,” now the UK’s most streamed song of all time. His follow-up, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent, secured another No.1 and further critical acclaim. His Netflix documentary How I’m Feeling Now offers an intimate look at his mental health journey.

About BetterHelp:
Founded in 2013, BetterHelp has grown into the world’s leading online therapy platform, with over 30,000 licensed therapists. The service aims to make professional mental health support accessible, affordable, and convenient for millions worldwide.
