Continued upskilling for the Clover Mama Afrikas

Continued upskilling for the Clover Mama Afrikas makes a tremendous difference when they then in turn share their skills in their community and upskill those around them.Clover Mama Afrika recently held a very intensive baking course for some of their Clover Mamas and all the participating Mamas are so excited to now know how to bake traditional koeksisters.

Teacher Rina Louw took all the time to teach them how to make sure the dough is ready and to teach them how to fold a koeksister the correct way. The correct temperature for koeksisters is very important and after some time baking and getting more confident there was a plate full of bakes goods for everyone to try! A cup of coffee and koeksister later, all hard work and trickiness of baking koeksisters were forgotten.

Many a church had been built and many children were put through university when mothers of the nation started to make koeksisters. The Clover Mama Afrikas have decided they will start saving their money from selling koeksisters to buy something special for themselves or for their centres.

Clover Mama Afrika is a sustainable Corporate Social Investment project that has been in existence since 2004. The project has been running successfully since 2004 and hosted 440 training sessions with over 2313 beneficiaries over the years.
