As part of the #MyColCacchio initiative, celebrating local flair in communities, a group of South African youths came together to enjoy a unique pizza-making and lunch event at the Foreshore ColâCacchio Pizzeria. The 25 young men, who have all experienced the desperation of surviving as street children, are getting their lives on a better track with help from non-profit organisation The Homestead.
ColâCacchio Co-Founder and CEO, Kinga Baranowska says, âWe believe great pizza can bring people together, and this local community event gives these 25 young South Africans a chance to have that heart-warming, yummy experience on Youth Dayâ. The group was provided with gourmet pizza-making kits so that they could have fun and learn hand-crafting their own sensational pizzas, as well as guidance and inspiration from Kinga on how doing
something with passion and dedication can bring great rewards. BOS partnered in the event providing refreshing organic Rooibos Ice Teas and Fruit Icys.
The #MyColCacchio campaign, which runs until August 2021, invites South Africans to come out to their neighbourhoodâs ColâCacchio and enjoy a limited-edition pizza or main that is highlighted for its sensational Italian flavour and South African flair. At no extra cost to the diner, a R5.00 donation is made to a charity in the local community with every meal sold.
The Homestead, which has been operating for almost 40 years in Cape Town runs a number of programmes to help street children and youth reconstruct their shattered lives. You can support their vital community work when you enjoy the #MyColCacchio Italo Swiss pizza at the Foreshore, Camps Bay and Blouberg ColâCacchio pizzerias.
Kinga says, â#MyColCacchio gives you more good reasons than one to come out to your local ColâCacchio Pizzeria to relish the great atmosphere and a delicious, exclusive meal sensation. Our family of staff is waiting to welcome you back with a flourish of local flair.Itâs a chance to have some fun, support the hard-hit restaurants in our communities and boost a
local charity in your community.â
