Blanket Drive keeps the elderly warm in winter

As the icy cold winter grips the North West Province, Zeerust Solar provided winter blankets to 120 elderly residents from the Romotshere Local Municipality.

In partnership with the Ikageng Community Trust, the high-quality mink blankets were distributed on 18 July 2022, in commemoration of Mandela Day. The handover event was attended by the Department of Social Development, the Department of Health, the local councillor, the Ikageng Community Trust, and representatives from Zeerust Solar.

“We are pleased to have been able to provide this support to the elderly and to see the joy on their faces. Our elderly are valued members of our communities and society, and it is our responsibility to ensure that they are comfortable and well taken care of,” said Tshepo Kgoloane, Community Operations Manager for Zeerust Solar.
