HEINEKEN Beverages donates workwear to 14 Drakenstein NGOs

HEINEKEN Beverages has reaffirmed its commitment to uplifting local communities by donating workwear valued at approximately R500 000 to 14 non-governmental organisations (NGOs) operating within the Drakenstein Municipality.

The donation provides essential clothing to NGOs offering a range of critical services across the region. By supplying practical, durable workwear, HEINEKEN Beverages aims to support the daily operations of staff and volunteers who serve some of the most vulnerable groups in society.

“We’re proud to stand alongside the organisations that work tirelessly to uplift our communities,” said Johan van Zyl, Supply Chain Director at HEINEKEN Beverages. “We understand the challenges these teams face on the ground, and by providing suitable workwear, we hope to make their efforts just a little easier and safer.”

The 14 NGOs involved in the initiative offer services such as early childhood development, elderly care, food security, and support for people living with disabilities. The donated workwear helps ensure that teams can carry out their duties with comfort and confidence, even in challenging conditions.

Geduld Veldman, Senior Social Development Officer at Drakenstein Municipality, welcomed the support: “We sincerely appreciate this generous gesture from HEINEKEN Beverages. Many of our local NGOs operate under tight budgets, and suitable workwear is often not prioritised. This contribution will have a real and lasting impact on their ability to serve the community.”

HEINEKEN Beverages continues to build strong relationships with local partners and remains committed to contributing to meaningful, sustainable development in the Drakenstein region and beyond.
