Time (Square) for 67 Minutes of Kindness

Time Square honoured the memory of Nelson Mandela by donating food to the needy during Mandela Month in the SunBet Arena.

Over 100 staff including Time Square General Manager Ruben Gooranah, packed more than 500 boxes of non-perishable food which were donated to the Africa School Governors Association in Mabopane and child protection organisation Child Welfare Tshwane in Mamelodi.

“Many hands make light work,” said Gooranah. “And it was heart-warming to see the number of our staff who put up their hands to participate in both the packing of food and the donation to the many in need.”

Each box contained non-perishable essentials such as cooking oil, maize meal, samp, salt, canned vegetables and canned pilchards, and they will go a long way to the beneficiaries of both the charities.
