Flamingo rallies Tin Spin initiative for Mandela Month

Staff at Flamingo Casino has long been rallying together to collect non-perishable food for those in need from the Kimberley and surrounding areas.

“We are thankful to our staff who opened up their hearts and personally contributed towards our Tin Spin collection,” said Flamingo Casino’s General Manager, Themba Marasha, of the food rally which started long before Mandela Day.  “Together we collected enough food to donate to three NGO charities – and feed more than 150 people – within the region during Mandela month.”

Twelve members, including Marasha, spent their 67-minutes visiting and engaging with Ngena Blessed Meals and Fepang Setshaba, both soup kitchens that service those in need, including the elderly, as well as Bophelo Home of Safety, a home that looks after disadvantaged children.

Flamingo Casino has longstanding relationships with the NGOs.
