Shoprite launches donation drive for CT

The Shoprite Group has started a Disaster Relief Fund to assist parts of the country that have been affected by the drought. Consumers will be able to donate R5 at any Shoprite or Checkers store throughout the country.

The donations will be used to aid Cape Town, which is currently facing the threat of Day Zero on 11 May 2018 when the taps are expected to run dry, as well as other drought-stricken areas in the Eastern and Northern Cape. The money raised will be utilised to source water and transport it to provide help to those suffering.
