‘Crazy for Walking’ to host a 12 hour walk for mental illness awareness

The 10th of October 2019 marks International Mental Health Day. In the lead-up to this date, Crazy for Walking has planned 12-hour walks in various parts of South Africa to raise awareness about mental health and dispel stigmas about mental health.  The walks will commence at 06h00 and end at 18h00 from the 3rd to the 10th of October.

Francois Louw, CEO of Crazy for Walking, and director of the National Hospital Network (NHN) said, “The Crazy for Walking campaign is a first-ever, national joint initiative and symbolic ringing of the mental health bell in de-stigmatizing mental illness and campaigning for mental wellness”.

The crazy walks have been confirmed to take place in Pretoria, Bloemfontein, and Cape Town. Those interested in hosting a crazy walk are encouraged to contact Crazy for Walking at info@crazyforwalking.co.za
