Triple Eight wins big at Gender Mainstreaming Awards

A socially conscious marketing agency has made a massive win at the Gender Mainstreaming Awards
sponsored by PwC and Business Engage, at a gala dinner event Gallagher Estate recently.
The awards and event celebrate transformation in South Africa with a particular focus on gender and empowering women. Triple Eight is an all-female marketing agency that specialises in purpose,
people and planet, helping some of the worlds leading brands make a positive impact in Africa through marketing projects.
Triple Eight’s portfolio includes high impact work for Unilever, Reckitt Benckiser, Samsung, Danone, Johnson & Johnson to name a few.
Triple Eight scooped the Gender Mainstreaming Overall Winner Award for Investing in Young Women against some strong contenders.  They also won the Award for Empowering Women in Communities in the non-listed company category.
The company started in 2012 with just three women and has expanded to over 7 countries with more than 70 women professionals and thousands of health workers and brand ambassadors employed within their projects.

Through their impact projects, they have partnered with brands and governments in Africa and positively impacted over 44 million people since 2012. Causes include fighting malaria, cholera, HIV,
infant and maternal mortality, providing emergency response to crises and projects supporting the economic empowerment of women, youth and young girls through more than 40 different projects.
Sarika Modi, Triple Eight founder & MD, says“Triple Eight believes that the brands of tomorrow need to have purpose beyond profits. With more than 80% of purchase decisions globally being made by women,
we believe the marketing industry needs to be more reflective of this. As an all-female agency, our successes stand as a beacon of inspiration to young women. Our message is that you can do and be what you want, just believe in yourself, work hard and be your best you”. concluded Triple Eight Managing Director, Sarika Modi.
