World Read Aloud Day takes the magic to the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital

The City of Cape Town’s libraries will celebrate World Read Aloud Day on Wednesday, 5 February, as they join the reading campaign with Nal’ibali to reach three million children across the country.

Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis and Mayoral Committee Member for Community Services and Health, Councillor Francine Higham will join City librarians, Nal’ibali and authors in reading aloud to some of the young patients at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital.

Other story telling events will take place at City libraries.
