The Palace of Dreams programme to upskill and uplift employees

Emperors Palace recently launched Lobster Ink, a learning programme at The Palace of Dreams that specialises in the hospitality industry. The purpose of the learning programme is to improve and uplift service standards and product knowledge using powerful online learning with measurable training outcomes. The Lobster Ink education platform is easily accessible and focuses on the delivery of detailed courses that are on par with international skills, standards and product knowledge.

The web-based learning platform that will support and promote workplace skills development and training.  Employees will now have have unlimited access to modules that cover a vast range of topics and specialities, including front office, food and beverage management, housekeeping, and health and safety.

“Lobster Ink is a powerful online learning tool with measurable training outcomes, giving management the ability to gauge where our people’s strengths lie, and which areas they may find more challenging,” says Malebo Mpepele, Peermont Training and Development Manager.  “At the Palace of Dreams, we constantly strive to achieve service excellence and we recognise the value and importance of providing a platform where employees can learn and develop, to ultimately help us achieve this critical goal.”

The educational platform is easily accessible and user friendly, delivering comprehensive hospitality courses that are aligned to international standards, skills and product knowledge.  A series of short videos are available, which provide essential knowledge about the many aspects of a successful hospitality business.

Learners can view the videos and answer a series of multiple choice questions to earn an internationally-recognised hospitality certificate
