Six outstanding young people to be honoured at the UN Young Activists Summit

Six young activists who successfully advance inclusion (disability rights, anti-racism in South Africa, LGBTQ+ rights, girls’ education in Afghanistan, etc) will share their powerful stories and be awarded a prize for the remarkable impact they have driven in their communities.

A documentary on #YAS22 laureate C’est PrĂ©vue Emmy Lusila, founder of an orphanage for street children in the DRC, will be released on the digital media outlet Brut’s platforms as of 28 November. This documentary was co-produced by Brut and dev.tv.

A media kit containing license-free b-roll footage of the activists and their work on the ground, video soundbites (both in 16:9 and 9:16 formats), photographs and background information is now available here. A video news release featuring highlights of the Summit will be uploaded on Friday 2 December by 14.00 CET at the same link, as well as an interview of disability rights activist Keely Cat-Wells. This interview will be made available to the media ahead of The International Day of Disabled Persons on Saturday 3 December.
