Ennerdale Primary learners receive new school shoes

25 Learners from Sibekiwe Primary School located south of Johannesburg will no longer go to school with torn shoes thanks to Young Woman Group and 3D Projects and Design for helping a black child in need. The learners were provided with a lunch meal, a teddy bear and a pair of new school shoes.

Young Woman Group aims to empower young people through motivational and inspirational talks at events. Founder of Young Woman Group, Louisa Molise said: “We provide many opportunities to engage our corporate partners and their employees actively in our mission to fight hunger and poverty in South Africa and to promote healthy eating and good education to learners at school,”. Two volunteers from Young Woman Group took their time off and spent the day at the school to ensure that the learners were empowered”, Molise added.

Emmanuel Shumba from the City of Joburg, Jabulani Mall Fire Station delivered an empowering speech on safety measures, procedures and what to do in case of an emergency. A representative from the teddy bear foundation was also present and spoke about the programs that they are offering at schools which address child abuse.
