The programme aims to grow 10 000 youth champions by 2030, starting with the first 100 over an initial six-month phase. Soweto, long associated with youth-led change, served as the ideal location to begin this ambitious journey.
A Movement Takes Shape
The launch event brought together young people, facilitators, and community leaders for a powerful day of mindset shifts, goal setting, and personal breakthroughs. From inspiring keynote messages to interactive workshops, the day focused on unlocking potential and fostering a new generation of changemakers.
Guest speaker and author Nomvuyo Bengane shared a heartfelt video message, encouraging youth to take charge of their futures. A standout moment was the symbolic Board Breaking Exercise, led by founder and lead coach KK Diaz, where participants physically broke through wooden boards representing their fears and limiting beliefs.
The day concluded with a roadmap session titled Where To From Here, outlining the programme’s next steps. Participants will receive focused training in purpose development, mindset mastery, leadership, digital and business skills, and community impact.
Building Africa’s Future, One Champion at a Time
Organisers extended gratitude to the Founding Champions, partners, facilitators, and community leaders who made the launch possible.
“Young people don’t need to wait for change—they are the change,” said KK Diaz, CEO of A-Game Business and founder of the initiative. “This programme equips them to become the leaders their communities have been waiting for.”
The 10 000 Champions movement invites businesses, funders, youth organisations, and government partners to help expand the programme nationally and across the continent.
This is more than a project. It’s a movement to shape Africa’s future by empowering the generation that will lead it.
