Centurion Systems has announced a major community upliftment initiative aimed at enhancing the safety and security of schools in the Cape Town region. As part of this initiative, the company will donate gate motors and safety beams to 25 schools across the region, with trained local installers donating their time and expertise to carry out the installations.
This initiative forms part of CENTURION’s broader commitment to supporting the communities in which it operates. Cape Town has been identified as a key region for this drive, given its strong base of local partners and installers who work closely with the brand.
Through this programme, CENTURION is not only strengthening school security infrastructure but also mobilising local skills and partnerships to deliver lasting impact.
Commenting on this, Morgan Commerford, the Managing Director of Centurion Systems said, “At Centurion Systems, we believe that community upliftment goes beyond providing products, it’s about creating impact that lasts. Schools are foundational spaces that shape the future of our society, and helping to ensure their safety is both a responsibility and a privilege for us. Through this initiative, and by working alongside our network of trained local installers, we’re supporting not just institutions but the broader community ecosystem – from learners and teachers to local businesses and families. This is what being an active and proudly local company is all about.”
The first phase of this initiative focuses on 25 schools, spanning a mix of primary, secondary, and mixed-medium institutions across Cape Town. Some of these schools are located in communities that face high levels of crime, making security interventions even more critical.
The second phase will extend support to an additional 10 schools, amplifying the impact of this drive. CENTURION’s approach is inclusive and multi-layered, recognising that schools are the heart of communities and play a pivotal role in shaping safer, stronger societies. This donation underscores Centurion Systems’ long-standing philosophy that real progress is made when businesses give back and participate actively in the development of the communities in their footprint.
Centurion Systems is committed to growing this initiative and reaching even more schools across the region. Schools interested in participating in the selection process for the next phase of this initiative can visit Centurion Systems’ official Facebook page for updates and more information on how to get involved.
