‘Through extensive process mapping, comprehensive training and the introduction of advanced technology, the City has successfully enhanced the ability for customers to connect with the Human Settlements Directorate telephonically. This is a significant step forward for Human Settlements in ensuring that customers have multiple ways to engage with City officials, making them more accessible and convenient,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Corporate Services, Alderman Theresa Uys.

‘As the Human Settlements Directorate, we are proud to announce the launch of the new Housing Queue contact service, which is ready to assist our residents. We remain committed to enhancing service delivery for our residents and this service addition is in line with our strategic focus of improving access to our Human Settlements services,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Human Settlements, Councillor Carl Pophaim.

This new contact service will provide residents with:

·       Easy access to Human Settlements information: Information about housing opportunities in the City, the housing needs register process, eligibility criteria as well as application status updates.

·       Enhanced customer support: Assisting residents with online applications and addressing City Public Housing queries.

·       Improved customer communication: Updates on City housing projects and available opportunities.

‘This new service offering will significantly improve our efficiency and our dedicated teams will ensure that our residents have a seamless experience when contacting the City about their housing related matters. Residents may contact us on 021 444 0333 from Monday to Friday between 07:30 and 16:30. We encourage all residents to make use of this new and valuable City resource,’ added Councillor Pophaim.
