The Joy of Art at Norval Foundation

Coronation recently hosted 75 Grade 4 learners from Moshesh Primary School in Langa, at the Cape Town Art Book Fair at the Norval Foundation. Here they had the opportunity to learn about art, storytelling, books, and literacy in a fun and engaging manner.

ART EDUCATION: Learners from Moshesh Primary in Langa experienced the magic of art, storytelling, books and literacy at the Norval Foundation’s Children’s Book Fair Day on Friday. The 75 learners came to the Norval Foundations learning centre, where they spent time with authors, artists and academics, as well as with Anton Pillay, CEO of Coronation, which is supporting the Cape Town Art Book Fair at the Norval Foundation this weekend. Pictured here, the children are answering questions about what they see in the art and how art and literacy can boost one’s perspective in life.

Coronation is supporting the Cape Town Art Book Fair at the Norval Foundation this weekend. Pictured here, the children are admiring the artworks of famed artist Esther Mahlangu. They were brought to the centre on the Digibus, an educational bus that serves children from all over Langa.  

THE JOY OF ART: Linomtha Nkunkuma from Moshesh Primary in Langa experienced the magic of art, storytelling, books and literacy at the Norval Foundation’s Children’s Book Fair Day on Friday, along with more than 70 of his school mates. The learners spent time with authors, artists and academics, as well as with Anton Pillay, CEO of Coronation, which is supporting the Cape Town Art Book Fair at the Norval Foundation this weekend. The children were shown world famous art all around the Norval Foundation grounds and were given the opportunity to create their own artworks and listen to inspiring stories told by UCT academic Dr Xolisa Guzula.
