Donation made to Peter Swartz Foundation to support talented young artists

Art has long been a tool for cultural exchange, education and expression and Windmill Casino has made a donation to the Peter Swartz Foundation, intended to bolster development of local artists.

Windmill purchased arts supplies and equipment for the Foundation worth R20 000 to benefit 42 local artists in Bloemside, Bloemfontein.

The NGO, that was registered in 2017, focuses on the development of arts for learners from rural disadvantaged communities. They hope to empower the youth with skills to be able to use their talent to provide for themselves and their families.

“We are pleased to support the development of the arts, which stimulates creativity and thinking out of the box,” said Windmill General Manager Johan Oosthuizen. “We hope this donation of art supplies and equipment will help promote arts and crafts within the community and help develop more children through exploration of the arts.”
