Nyaradzo continues to help amid pandemic

In a movement meant to protect frontline staff from COVID-19, the funeral services firm, Nyaradzo Group has donated protective equipment to the Zimbabwe Broadcast Corporation (ZBC).

Various initiatives by corporates have been made to protect the lives of frontline workers that have gained momentum across the country as Zimbabwe strives to continue flattening the Covid-19 curve.

Acting ZBC Chief Executive Officer Ms Helliate Rushwaya in a statement said: “It is in this spirit that this Tuesday, the Nyaradzo Group donated personal protective equipment to the national broadcaster as it strives to safeguard the lives of its employees.”

Rushwaya went on to accept the donation and thanked the funeral services firm saying the donation will go a long way in protecting ZBC’s front line staff as they package news for the Zimbabwean populace.

In another statement uttered by Nyaradzo Group Head of Corporate Strategy, Mr Batsirai Simango, Nyaradzo said they appreciate the critical role of the national broadcaster in information dissemination hence they responded to the call of duty.

Safety measures continue to be at the core of its response strategy, including wearing masks, sanitisation, and maintaining social distancing, among other World Health Organisation guidelines in Zimbabwe as it is among the first 8 African countries to roll out inoculation against the deadly pandemic
