Noupoort SMME beneficiaries visit WINDABA

Two Noupoort Wind Farm ABCD SMME beneficiaries had the opportunity to visit the international wind industry conference, WINDABA, held in Cape Town during October 2021.

This leading conference and exhibition offered both entrepreneurs the opportunity to network and showcase their businesses.

Michelle van Wyngaard, owner of MEM Steel, a gun safe manufacturer, enjoyed the exposure for her business, which she plans to expand.

Similarly, Michael Brooks, owner of Vital Veggie Gardens Pty Ltd, an agriculture and hydroponic fresh produce cultivation SMME, said “Windaba was great. I’ve been able to build a good network and even secure two or three deals for the end of this year, through the networking and with the wind farm’s support.”

With the funding from Noupoort Wind Farm, Brooks purchased feed for his animals, organic hydroponic nutrients for his crops and an irrigation system. The support has also helped him to improve on business administration, financing and better marketing.
