StarTimes launches e-shopping platform.

StarTimes has launched an interactive e-shopping platform named StarTimes GO to enable people shop online from their homes during the lockdown.

The invention of the e-shopping platform came after strict regulations had been passed by the government. This also resulted to many businesses closing and some were asked to restrict the number of people in stores during the lockdown.

The new service will also cover Pan-African areas with Uganda and Kenya being the first countries as a pilot project. The platform however offers access to the no-touch “top” shopping experience. The platform is also available via TV, Online and phone-call integrated services.

Mr Franklin Wang, StarTimes Uganda CEO, said the new development will save people the risky shopping hustles.

“We know that a healthy environment is important for pandemic control thus we innovated a safe platform as well as a no-touch shopping method in order to help people stay safe in these difficult times,” he said.

The e-platform is airing on key channels including Sanyuka TV and many more others so as to help the audience on how to use the platform to their advantage at such a time.

Customers will know of the usage of product and know what to purchase and reduce the risk of getting in contact with the virus. Any kind of products can be purchased through this platform.

“As the client, you do not need to leave home at all. Simply call our lines to have your order made directly, and you can pay cash on delivery,” said the company correspondent.
