IDC Band responds to level 3 needs with critical wristbands

With the nation preparing to go back to school and work according to Level 3 Lockdown Rules and Regulations from the 1st of June 2020 amid mounting outcries over the critical shortages of personal protective equipment (PPE), ventilators, and other medical supplies the country is currently facing.

IDCBand, one of South Africa’s wristband suppliers is offering a solution for organizations and schools to use wristbands as part of their Covid-19 screening procedures and processes.

Peter Hamilton, CEO of IDC Band says Security/managers/supervisors can easily check at a glance to see who has been screened that day using wristbands. This can lead to a reduction in the spread of
the Covid-19 virus within schools and organizations, increase attendance, save organizations money in the long run, and ultimately save lives due to minimized spread outside of the organization’s premises.

“Different colour wristbands can be used for different days, as well as for different departments, divisions and work roles. The wristbands can be branded with the day of the week, company logos, as well as motivational quotes and messages to keep everyone inspired during this difficult time.

The wristbands have a tamper-evident seal and are water and tear resistant”, says Hamilton.

How this works:

1.Upon arrival, all employees/ learners/ contractors/members of your organization should be tested to check for high temperatures
2.Those who have high temperatures should then be denied access and referred to medical professionals/sent home – or as per the organization directives
3.Those with normal temperatures will be a given a wristband to indicate that they have been temperature screened and cleared for that day.

This can reduce the chance of anyone slipping through the net with screening and also prevent anyone deliberately avoiding being screened due to being sick and wishing to continue to work/attend or not wishing to be tested. Furthermore IDC bands will be giving away wristbands at no charge to students to further their efforts in decreasing COVID-19 impact on SA learners.
