Hollard and Cansa’s annual Daredevil Run to raise prostate cancer awareness

The Cancer Association of South Africa (C)ANSA) has partnered with Hollard’s Daredevil Run.  The run gives the organisation an opportunity to share an important health messages aimed at men and assists in raising much-needed awareness of prostate and testicular cancer.

According to the association South African men have a 1 in 27 risk for prostate cancer and early detection is key as it  allows for better treatment options. The race is a short 5km run,  and presents a fun way men to do something active and ‘daring’ and still share and gather support for a real cause.

CANSA offers health awareness materials and screening information at CANSA Care Centres countrywide.

“We urge all men to get informed about cancer, especially prostate and testicular cancer. Know the symptoms of these cancers and learn ways to lower your cancer risk.” says CANSA representative.

The Daredevil Run will be taking place  13 March 2020, in a bid to  raise funds for screening and raises awareness of prostate and testicular cancers among men in a highly visible manner.
