Clothing drive to help Pretoria’s homeless

Following a successful clothing drive in Johannesburg, the Magic Touch Foundation will be running another drive for the homeless in Pretoria.

The drive will be held on 31 March, between 10am and 2pm, on Bosman Street.

“Magic Touch Foundation will be bringing the clothes drive to the city of Pretoria, helping those in need and restoring hope in the city.”

The foundation is run by Lead SA Hero Chantal Morifi, with the first clothing drive successfully held in February 2018.

The organisation helped 150 individuals with clothing and food on the day of the drive.

With the Pretoria drive, the organisers are hoping to go even bigger and help even more people.

“We are hoping to make an even larger impact. We are seeking clothing, food, reading and financial assistance. The first project was handled from our own pockets.”

The organisers have said that they would appreciate any donations from the public, including clothing, food, books and financial contributions – as the previous drive was paid for through the members’ own personal finances.
