Calling all Put Footers

The Put Foot Foundation is responding to the urgent call for for assistance with chronic medication (insulin etc), food supplies and basic necessities to those affected by the riots and destruction in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

We need your help to raise R100,000 / $6,900 by next Friday. Two convoys will depart (Cape Town and Johannesburg) next week carrying over 12 tons of supplies – medicine, food and basic supplies.

The Put Foot Foundation team is working with fellow charities and organizations on-the-ground identifying those who are most vulnerable. “Our aim is ensuring all their short-terms needs: medical, food and health are supported until normal supply and logistics routes are established in KwaZulu-Natal. This may take a few weeks and Put Foot is preparing to undertake more convoys over the next 2-6 weeks,” said the foundation.

The Cape Town Team is working with pharmacies that were looted and can longer provide chronic medication (insulin etc) to their clients, old-age homes, hospitals etc. This is a critical need, and our Put Footers will be transporting these medical supplies to KZN.

The Johannesburg Put Foot Team will be transporting food and basic supplies to a warehouse located at our operations center in Howick, KZN. From there the supplies will be distributed to organizations that we have identified – old-age homes, orphanages, schools etc.

Their goal is to raise R100,000 by Friday 23 July 2021 so that we secure over 12 tons of supplies that we have identified are needed this week in Howick, Pietermaritzburg and Durban. All donations can be done through GivenGain.
