Daimler, the parent company of Mercedes-Benz has encouraged all its suppliers to be more climate neutral. Ola Kaellenius, CEO of Daimler, said, “This will become an award criterion”. He noted that several of Daimler’s partners are already working toward climate neutrality.

In 2022, Daimler factories are expected to be climate neutral. All Mercedes-Benz passenger cars will be transformed into “A carbon-neutral product range as of 2039.”
