Topco Media hosts annual Vision 2030 & The National Business Awards

Topco Media recently hosted the Vision2030 Awards and National Business Awards at Emperors Palace on the 20th of November 2019. Seven years ago, South Africa adopted the National Development Plan to systematically tackle poverty and inequality. Topco Media knew that to achieve the plan, public-private partnerships were going to have to be acknowledged and celebrated to foster sustainable practices and initiatives. This year for the first time, socially conscious companies and top-notch national companies got to share the limelight at the combined award ceremony hosted by news anchor, Leanne Manas. Numerous awards were presented throughout the night for various categories, Bigen Africa Services won the Vision2030 Infrastructure Development Award and Delioltte won the Vision2030 Education Development Award to name a few.

“At a time when there is a plethora of global uncertainty and accumulating stressors such as the increasingly visible effects of climate change, it becomes increasingly important to exhale at times like these and acknowledge and celebrate the positive achievements our country has made,” says Fiona Wakelin, Group Editor of Topco media.

Over the last 16 years, The National Business Awards have become the absolute showcase for South Africa’s most successful companies across sectors. Yuppiechef Online won The Digital Company of the Year and Eskom received the Lifetime Achiever Award. The National Business Awards were established to recognize sustainable growth, success and the impact of investing in South Africa.
