FedEx Joins With South Africa Medical and Education (SAME) Foundation to Advance Education in South Africa

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp (NYSE: FDX) and the world’s largest express transportation company, today officially opened a renovated dedicated Mathematics classroom at the Lofentse High School for Girls.

This initiative forms part of its commitment to developing core skills in young girls, following the donation of $17,000 to the South Africa Medical and Education (SAME) Foundation.

FedEx is passionate about helping people acquire the skills and education that will allow them to access opportunities and supported the school in order to advance the opportunity and likelihood for young students to pursue studies in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).The Lofentse Girls High School in Orlando, Soweto, serves girls from grades 8-12.
