Applications open for Chat for Impact Accelerator

Applications are now open for the Chat for Impact Accelerator taking place from 5-7 August 2020. The Accelerator, launched by Turn.io with support from the Mulago Foundation, will assist the global impact community to use chat platforms to have timely, personal, private and actionable conversations with their communities at scale.

Chat for Impact Accelerator three-day programme will enable social impact organisations to set up and make use of secure chat platforms using Turn.io to connect with, support, and guide their end-users to better life outcomes.

Turn.io, a tool that enables teams to have personal, guided conversations at scale, currently works with over 70 social impact organisations reaching over 20 million users. Participants in the accelerator will be taken through a step-by-step programme including an overview of the Turn.io product and its tools and capabilities; successful impact use-cases; WhatsApp policies and guidelines; and how to design, launch and implement an chat solution on the WhatsApp Business API.

The accelerator will also help social impact organisations make use of other chat features, like location tracking, that can aid in real-time monitoring and response, as well as how to access valuable data and insights to guide planning. Each organisation will complete the accelerator with an operational service running on their own WhatsApp account that will provide immediate, scalable benefit.

Organisations are invited to apply for the first open Accelerator with support from the Mulago Foundation taking place from 5-7 August 2020.
