Innovative eco-friendly brand Clicks MyEarth has partnered with The Litterboom Project – a non-profit tackling river and ocean pollution – to lead a clean-up at Beachwood Beach in Durban. The clean-up, which took place on World Oceans Day, is part of an ambitious three-month river clean-up in recently flood-stricken KwaZulu-Natal.
“This partnership with The Litterboom Project comes out of our commitment to building a healthier future for all South Africans and for our planet,” says Clicks Brand Executive Phathiswa Sefatsa. “Clicks developed the MyEarth range using ingredients, materials and packaging that are kind not only to our bodies but also to our planet – a core brand value that aligns with the groundbreaking conservation work of The Litterboom Project.”

Towards a circular economy for plastic
“As a founding member of the SA Plastics Pact, Clicks is on a journey towards a circular economy for plastics,” explains Sefatsa. Crucially for the health of our oceans, the Clicks MyEarth range supports the circular economy for plastic by limiting unnecessary plastic and favouring renewable materials such as paper and bamboo. Wherever possible, MyEarth packaging is made from recycled and recyclable materials. Labels, lids and bottles are designed to maximise the potential to recycle easily. Where no recyclable option exists, Clicks is actively sourcing alternatives.
