dotsure.co.za’s warm donation helps Durban SPCA stand the rain

In difficult times, we see our communities come together and support one another. One of SA’s best insurers, dotsure.co.za, never misses an opportunity to show their commitment to the communities they serve. Along with their thoughts and good wishes to those affected by the floods in KZN, dotsure.co.za also sent blankets to the Durban SPCA. Steadfast in their commitment to providing Soft Landings in moments of need, dotsure.co.za donated 50 blankets to the Durban SPCA.

Many animals have been affected by the devastating damage caused by flooding in KZN. “Due to the loss of power and water, we are unable to wash our blankets, so new blankets are a huge help at this time,” said SPCA’s marketing manager, Tanya Fleischer. The donations made by the insurer are helping the SPCA respond to the crisis. For dotsure.co.za, “providing Soft Landings and always lending a helping hand is not an obligation; it is our essence. We are a brand that cares, and whenever our furry friends need help, we will always do what is in our power to try and alleviate their hardships.” confessed COO David Roche.

The Durban SPCA has experienced flooding in two of their kennel blocks. The SPCA rescued dogs at 2am on the morning of 12 April; no lives were lost. Some of their vehicles sustained damage during the flooding. They have had to endure having no power for several days and currently have a limited water supply.

The Durban SPCA still needs blankets, pet food, and water. Further donations of all these limited supplies are welcome. You can also make a secure financial contribution online towards their relief efforts at spcadbn.org.za/donate.php.
