Hollywoodbets announces the launch of the Hollywood Foundation

South African betting operator Hollywoodbets has announced the launch of the Hollywood Foundation with the aim of bringing hope to local communities “through collaborative efforts that make a sustainable impact”.

This follows the success of Hollywoodbets’s My Community Programme, which the betting company says positively impacted thousands of lives through its various projects. The Hollywood Foundation will operate as a “fully-fledged non-profit organisation that plays an active role in the communities within which it operates”.

According to Hollywoodbets, the foundation aims to operate programmes that will lend a helping hand to South African communities and make a difference in many lives with projects focussing on welfare, education, sports, arts and culture as well as investing in SMMEs.

As a start, the Hollywood Foundation has pledged to inject R9m in various projects across South Africa, including the continuation of the annual Hollywoodbets Back to School campaign, The Future is Bright bursary initiative and social welfare projects.

Suren Rampersadh, Hollywoodbets chief executive officer commented: “We are proud to launch the Hollywood Foundation as this next step will take our development projects even further. The Foundation will work together with our communities, organisations and ultimately people who need support to ensure a brighter future.”
