“Queen B” to host podcast on Charlamagne tha God’s Black Effect Podcast Network

Bonang Matheba is set to host her own podcast on Charlamagne tha God’s Black Effect Podcast Network, just in time for heritage month. Charlamagne Tha God partnered with iHeartMedia to launch The Black Effect Podcast Network, with the goal of “bringing together the most influential voices in black culture for stimulating conversations around social justice, pop culture, sports, mental health, news, comedy and more.”

Matheba will be hosting her own show. The content of Queen B’s podcast is still unknown but it’s sure to make a difference to Africans. The new venture is set to be the largest podcasting publisher dedicated to black listeners. Charlamagne said he has “always been surrounded by nothing but Black women, personally and professionally” and set out to amplify their voices.

“Blackness has an immediate, culture-shifting effect on everything. Blackness controls the cool. Blackness is the culture, but black voices are not monolithic. The only way to appreciate the diversity of thought and experiences in black culture is to build a platform for those voices to be heard”, said Charlamange.
