Gibson Guitars is providing a special kind of relief for musicians in Nashville

Gibson Givesā€”the international guitar brandā€™s charitable foundationā€”is offering to replace any guitars that may have been lost or damaged during the recent Ā storms in Nashville USA.

ā€œOur goal is to get a guitar back into the hands of anyone who has had their guitar damaged or destroyed in the recent Tennessee storm,ā€ says Dendy Jarrett, executive director of Gibson Gives. ā€œAs a Nashville, Tennessee-based company, we are also engaging with our artists and other partners to provide support across many areas.ā€

The foundation has collectively donated more than $30 million worth of goods and services since their launch in 2002. In addition to installing music rooms in Nashville high schools, they have also donated guitars and supplies to music therapy programs for veterans suffering from PTSD.

Musicians looking to replace their guitars through the Gibson Gives Recovery Plan can email proof of loss or damage to donation.request@gibson.com. Replacement guitars may be prototypes or refurbished guitars that will be selected at Gibsonā€™s discretion.

Pop super star Taylor Swiftā€”who is a Nashville nativeā€”is also contributing to tornado relief by asking her millions of fans to donate to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennesseeā€™s tornado relief fund.

Although Swift did not disclose to her Instagram followers exactly how much money she herself had contributed to the fund, her publicist confirmed to NBC News that she had donated $1 million.
