State capture culprits should be held accountable says Ahmed Kathrada Foundation

The Ahmed Kathrada Foundation together with a group of civil society organisations invites members of the media to attend and cover a public rally set to take place tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at 5:30 pm at the St. George’s Cathedral in Cape Town.

The rally, which will be on the eve of the State of the Nation Address (SONA) by President Cyril Ramaphosa will endorse the call by Anglican Archbishop Thabo Makgobato to take action against those implicated in state capture and corruption.

Speakers at the rally will include First Deputy General Secretary of the SACP Solly Mapaila, Business Unity SA acting CEO Cas Coovadia, activist and film producer Nadine Cloete, former head of Asset Forfeiture Unit Willie Hofmeyr, Reverend Michael Weeder, the Muslim Judicial Council’s Moulana Abdul Khaliq Alie and author of The Shadow World: Inside the Arms Trade Andrew Feinstein.
