Legendary athlete Josia Thugwane honored with Berlin Marathon medal engraving

1996 Olympic gold medalist Josia Thugwane is the latest athlete to have his face engraved in a Berlin Marathon medal.

Thugwane is remembered in world athletics for running one of the best marathon races of all time, to win gold at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.

He spoke to Stephen Grootes to reflect on how it feels to still be remembered around the world for his legendary Olympic Games marathon win.

There are a lot of people who do not remember me. The Berlin Marathon is a big race, a lot of people are going to see my face.
