International comedian, Trevor Noah has extended his heartfelt condolences to families that have lost their loved ones due to the coronavirus pandemic and has dedicated himself to donating money to the people in need , noting that they may be mostly affected by this virus.
Noah has pleaded with fans and followers to donate to the less fortunate. After almost every episode of the Daily Show, the comedian has often encouraged people in various places of the world to donate to various charities not only to South Africa but to all parts of the world affected by the pandemic.
As revealed by the Deadline.com, the Daily Show run by Trevor Noah has managed to raise $500,000 which is equivalent to R9.5m to charities in need. The charities therefore mostly include feeding projects, child care and the NYC Mayor’s Fund for First Responders.
Trevor has not stopped thanking his fans for their support during such a tragic time for the world. He however, gave comfort to his fans saying that the dark cloud that has covered the world will surely come to pass.
The celebrity cancelled all his comedy tours in an effort to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. “In support of the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) effort to inform and help individual communities slow the spread of the Covid-19 virus, I will be postponing all tour dates for the next month,” the comedian said on social media.
