Somhale Foundation issues out vouchers to families in need.

South African celebrity, Somizi and partner Mohale have since donated R200,000 worth of food vouchers to 400 families in need after having seen the effects of COVID-19 on the less unfortunate.

The couple has determined itself to help masses through their Somhale Foundation. However, they have taken their time to walk around the streets of Freedom Park and an informal Ekurhuleni settlement giving out vouchers worth R500 each.

The celebrity has been tweeting to the masses how he feels about the COVID-19 pandemic period clearly highlighting his worry for the less unfortunate and most vulnerable during this tragic life event. He also made a public appeal to fellow South Africans and other people in all parts of the world to help the vulnerable in all possible ways.

“We had an idea that the majority of our people are in need, but had no idea how dire the situation is. We are pleading with everyone to help wherever they are with whatever they have. Anything would be appreciated, clothing, food, blankets, anything.”

Somizi further explained the intentions of the Somhale Foundation saying that it had the aim of making the world a better place.  The couple is looking forward to give more to other parts of South Africa as the virus continues to spread uncontrollably.

“The aim of the foundation is to make the world a better place one person at a time,” Somizi said.
