Itec KZN, We Feed SA and former rugby legends tackle poverty in Chesterville

As the growing Coronavirus pandemic continues to claim the jobs of many breadwinners and the government grappling to feed a rising number of hungry people, many Chesterville residents have been worried about where their next meal will come from.

Itec KZN, headed by Greg du Plessis with former SA rugby player AJ Venter, partnered with We Feed SA and Rugby Legends Stefan Terblanche, Justin Swart and Stu Berry to tackle the hunger issue in Chesterville outside of Durban by handing out food parcels to 300 children.

The initiative sponsored by Itec KZN aims to contribute towards the eradication of food insecurity that has affected the Chesterville community.

“It was an absolute honour and privilege to serve our community together with like-minded individuals who understand the essence of giving back. While these times are strange and difficult, it is important not to take anything for granted. Itec is an organisation that prides itself as an entity that truly values service and serving’’, said Greg du Plessis, Managing Director at Itec KZN.
