Africa Nobuhle Productions is pleased to announce the first of a planned series of benefit concerts and events to support and promote youth in arts. The first Concert for a Cause will be headlined by the Taiwa Jazz Band, a dynamic 7-piece ensemble led by music director, Jerry Molelekwa from the Moses Molelekwa Arts Centre in Tembisa.

The beneficiary of this concert is 21 year old flutist and saxophonist, member of the Taiwa Jazz Band and music teacher, Boitumelo Mpebe.
A student of the Moses Molelekwa Arts Centre since the age of 11, Mpebe has already won several awards and competitions for her musical talent and has been featured on several ensembles, including the St Mary’s Big Band, UNISA Wind Ensemble and other ensembles at Makhanda (Grahamstown).
Boitumelo is aiming to improve her musical talent by attending a summer music intensive at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Massachusetts, USA this July. This Concert for a Cause will help contribute to the US$12,000 cost of attendance.
The concert venue is the beautiful, newly acoustically customised theatre at Yamaha World in Kelvin, Sandton, where the team is going all-out to assist in making this a superb event.
2022 SAMA Award Winner for Best Classical Album, Ms Khanyisile Mthetwa, will be providing a welcoming speech and will also join Boitumelo Mpebe for an interview on the World Show with Nicky B on Kaya Fm, at 8pm on Sunday evening.
