Hollywoodbets and Nomzamo Mbatha back tertiary students

Sports Betting Company, Hollywoodbets recently announced that it will continue to expand its community support work by collaborating with Nomzamo Mbatha’s Lighthouse Foundation and donating R500 000 in tertiary bursaries that will be awarded to students in need.

Hollywoodbets has been investing in its communities around the country through the Hollywoodbets My Community Programme for the past eight years and many schools and development sports teams around the country have benefited from the programme.”At Hollywoodbets, we believe that we can make a difference in people’s lives by giving them a head start towards their careers, which in turn gives them access to the economy,” said Sandisiwe Bhengu, Hollywoodbets’ ibranch support business partner.

Upon establishing her organization, Mbatha highlighted that education was one of her key focus areas. Nomzamo Mbatha’s Lighthouse Foundation does not only empower child-headed homes affected by HIV/AIDS but they also support the youth of South Africa with skills development, employment as well as financial assistance towards their education.

The South African Actress who is also a Human Rights Activist shared that when she met with Hollywoodbets, she discovered that the two organizations had the same vision and a partnership was formed. “I was taken through their entire CSI programme and was moved beyond comprehension when I discovered the insurmountable contributions they have and continue to make in communities around the country, “explained Mbatha.

The bursary project will see numerous young people be released from the burden of financial strain.
Our future is the youth of South Africa and by investing in them, we are investing in a brighter future for all.
