Hisense Expands Gaming Focus In South Africa

Hisense is strengthening its focus on South Africa’s growing gaming market, using its global Phantom Blade Zero partnership to bring advanced display technology and immersive gameplay experiences to local players.

Hisense has confirmed its global partnership with upcoming title Phantom Blade Zero, but for South African gamers, the real story lies in what this means locally — a stronger push to deliver world-class gaming experiences through advanced display technology.

As the gaming market in South Africa continues to grow, driven by improved connectivity, rising esports participation and increased investment in gaming hardware, the demand for high-performance displays has accelerated. Hisense is positioning itself to meet that demand by aligning its global innovation with local availability.

The partnership will be showcased at Gamescom LATAM 2026 in Brazil, where Hisense will demonstrate how its display technology enhances real gameplay. But the impact extends beyond the event, reinforcing the company’s strategy to bring premium gaming experiences into South African homes.

At the centre of this offering is Hisense’s ULED and Mini-LED TV range, already available locally. These displays are designed for next-generation gaming, with features such as ultra-low latency, high refresh rates and enhanced colour precision — key elements for both competitive and immersive gameplay.

For a title like Phantom Blade Zero, known for its fast-paced combat and cinematic Wuxia-inspired world, these capabilities translate into smoother motion, deeper contrast and more detailed environments, allowing players to experience games as they were intended.

“Great gaming experiences are built on both emotional immersion and precise responsiveness,” said Paul Zhang, General Manager of Brand and Marketing Department at Hisense Global Commercial Center. “Our display technology is designed to ensure players don’t just see the game, but feel fully part of it.”

The move reflects a broader shift in South Africa’s gaming ecosystem, where players are increasingly seeking setups that match global standards. From console gamers upgrading their living room displays to PC players investing in performance-driven monitors, the market is evolving rapidly.

Hisense’s strategy connects this local demand with global partnerships, ensuring that South African gamers are not left behind as gaming technology advances.

As the industry continues to expand, the focus is no longer just on access to games, but on the quality of the experience. Through its continued investment in display innovation, Hisense is aiming to position South Africa as a market ready for the next generation of gaming.
